- your PC task manager. In Windows 7, press CTRL + ALT + DELETE and click on Task Manager, go to Processes, then right-click on Syndicate’s respective exe file and set priority above normal or higher. You must do this every time you play the game.
- In addition, your anti-virus may be the problem here. There are certain anti-virus software that are not ideal for gaming so, check our Technical References page for some suggestions.
- If you’re still using Windows XP, upgrade to Windows 7. Honestly, a lot of users have attested this to be the fastest solution they’ve tried.
- For more advanced users, try enabling/forcing tripple buffering and V-sync using the D3DOverrider software. Check our Technical References page to download D3DOverrirder / RivaTuner.
- Finally make sure that your Internet connection is stable. This is a commonly overlooked problem especially for online modes / multiplayer games.

Problem #20 Syndicate Crash Fix – Other possible causes of crashing
- Make sure you GPU is cool enough and not overheating. Syndicate may at times use heavy GPU, so make sure you have good airflow, and that your card is running quietly. Try lowering the resolution or changing quality settings. Symptoms of an overheated card include the following: random crashes, random ‘glitches’ , FPS drastically drops down to 2 or 3 FPS, freezing, and locking up during graphically intensive moments.
- Make sure you have a decent power supply. If you have a decent graphics card, you need a power supply that can run it. 350 watts may not be enough to consistently run Syndicate. A recommended power supply should have a minimum of 600 watts, with a direct connection to the GPU (no splitting and ‘sharing’ connections with other devices). Many times random crashes are due only to insufficient power supply.
Problem #21 Syndicate – Cannot Install Syndicate
Reinstall the game, but please ensure that you’ve fully uninstalled Syndicate from your PC, before trying to install again. In some cases, you may have to manually delete the Syndicate installation folder from the PC in case files remain after uninstalling.

performed all relevant fixes in this guide. using m14x (win7-64bit quad core nvidia optimus). exe files runs for roughly 15 seconds then stops. no visual changes (aside from disabling desktop composition), cant hear anything from the game… uses roughly 9% cpu while its running. will try a re-install of the game, any more suggestions?

A common problem when playing on multiple screens. For now, the solution is to unplug other monitors and play on single screen. If that doesn’t work, try playing in windowed mode.

Problem #12 Syndicate Crash Fix – For Quad Core and Multi-Core PCs
If you’re on Quad Core, try this fix to address any crash issues:
Start the game
Alt+Tab Out of the game
Open Task Manager
Right click on Syndicate.exe
Set Affinity
Select core 0 and 1 only. You need to run the game on two CPU’s basically, so to avoid the crash to desktop.
I’m playing on two core and this did not help. I’m waiting for someone upload save…

I had the same problem. I just did the affinity (running AMD quad) and lowered everything, even the lowest resolution possible and no vertical sync. I got past that freaking dropship. Know I’m stuck leaving the ship in downtown manhattan after leaving the ballena FUCK.

Solution that worked for me was to activate the overlay directly after the quick time event (the repeatedly pressing the action key thingie).
i used cheat engine to enable no clip mode after reaching the catwalk but before falling , now i am on the train and when i open a couple of doors one of them open and closes rapidly and i can’t open it again -.-
Try using Dart Overlay… it worked for me!
To all those who are also experiencing the black screen instead of menu(with ATI GPU). My problem with that was resolved by going to Catalyst Control Center then to Games tab, Standard 3d setting, checking the “Use custom settings” box and then setting it for maximum quality.
hey man where the hell is the fucking CCC?
I updated my Realtek drivers yet there is no sound in the menu whatsoever, not even in the game.
When the stylized EA logo appears I can hear the sound effects but as soon as you press enter to the menu and then proceed to playing, you can’t hear a thing.
Any tips?
If your drivers are up to date then i would suggest to try going to sound and audio device settings in the control panel and go to audio panel-advanced there set the speakers to Desktop stereo speakers. That might solve it if not then u could try tweaking other options under the audio advanced panel. Good Luck

@GERALD, found the solution, when u get stuck in the dropship press, ctrl+alt+~ this will open a console, then type cmd( noclip )and press enter, then exit the console, u will be able to freely walk out of the drop ship. this is a cheat which enables u to walk through walls, u can turn it off by repeating the same procedure.
if you get the 0x0b8c6f88 mem error, set it to launch with admin privs.

after rescuing the doctor and killing the black agent, i hop onto a plane, next mission, when the plane lands, it says “press W to leave ship” or whatever, but when i press W, i get a bug and get stuck under the damn plane, can’t get out from it. reloaded, still does the same thing…

I had the same problem on my Pavilion dv7 laptop.
I am using Windows 7 Home Premium. I noticed that some
of the programs I had on my desktop had a message saying that
the program has stopped working and windows is looking for the fix.
After researching the issue, everything pointed to the Microsoft Framework 3.5.1
If you are using windows 7, go to the control panel, programs & features.
Look on the left side after the window opens and click on “Turn Windows features on or off”. Another window will open and populate some programs.
Look for Microsoft.Net Framework 3.5.1
If the box is clear, click on it. It will either put a checkmark in the box or the box will turn blue. Mine is Blue. Click ok and you should be good to go. You will be able to exit the dropship.

Hi!!, well I cant start the game. I get a Runtime Error then a Software exception.
Tried the Nvidia Fix on NV contro P, tried starting from the folder, tried udating DirectX, also netFramework. Tried Starting from the folder. Latest MoBo/GPU drivers. System clean of virus or at least seem clean and fast.
Is there a posibility of refund from Origin?, dont want to waste time sending emails. This is the first game that doesnt run at all. Playing ME3, Deus Ex, MW3, BF3.

All those who are falling after pressing F, I had the same issue. I played the whole level again and then only this problem was fixed.
Otherwise just before falling, hit alt+ctrl+~ to invoke the console. Type cmd( noclip ) and enter. Type alt+ctrl+~ to revoke console. You’ll start flying, so you won’t fall. Go forward to some safe distance (probably near the lift) and then repeat the above process to come out of noclip mode. You’ll land on concrete floor.

I cant get off the aircraft in #12 downzone. i have found a (cmd)noclip to skip exiting the ship but the command dosnt seems to be applyed

I’m almost at near the ending, where you have to fight MERIT Boss,but the game crashes here EVERY time i load – Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Error!!, others games working fine like – ME3,SFXT,KOA: Reckoning etc; but this game is real headache – i previously also had problems with this game – (Memory error 0X0000005, mission 5 dropship boss -fps drop to 1 or2, mission 12 can’t exit dropship etc).
But the runtime error always shows up in milestone 20 at Merit Boss Fight whenever i load, no luck

Hey, I have a problem here with my Syndicate. Whenever I stray too far from AI’s they suddenly blink and look like triangle things I don’t know if it’s my PC or something (I checked everything) I mean a medium-end PC would be able to run it right ? Please help !! I am really desperate here !!
