Problem #4 Sonic Generations PC Tip — How To Edit Config Files
You can edit the configuration for Sonic Generations in C:Program Files (x86)Steamsteamappscommonsonic generations — the needed files have the “.cfg” file extension. Feel free to edit them, but be sure you back them up first.

(Sigh) typical Steam bug. Just Verify the integrity of the game cache and voila!
Problem #6 Sonic Generations PC Sound / Audio Fix – No sound or weak sound
For Windows 7 and Vista users:
First of all, update your sound card drivers. If doing that doesn’t clear up the problem, make sure you have volume set to max for Sonic Generations in the volume mixer (click on the little speaker icon in the bottom-right of your screen in the system tray). If you’re in-game, just alt+tab out of the game and check if Sonic Generations is set to max in the volume mixer.
Another tip you could try is to go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound > Communications Tab then select the “Do Nothing” radio button to permanently fix this issue.
For Windows XP users:
Reduce hardware acceleration, or set your speakers to Stereo.

Crashes when I press “continue” and get to the place, you know, where you choose levels and stuff.
For those who are getting the quickslide glitch, when sonic keeps dashing to left. This is a joystick problem, since the game was designed to use the Xbox 360 controller, different / generic joysticks can produce this glitch, I think there’s something to do with the DirectInput. Use x360ce to fix this.
