Problem #1 Sniper Elite V2 Crash Fix – Sniper Elite V2 Crashes after Display of Rebellion Logo
To fix this issue in the game, follow these steps to fix the issue:
- Go to C:Program Files(x86)Steamsteamappscommonsniper elite v2
- Copy “binkw32.dll” and paste it to the folder C:Program Files(x86)Steamsteamappscommonsniper elite v2bin
- Run Sniper Elite V2
Problem #2 Sniper Elite V2 Crash Fix – Crash to Desktop upon Launch / Startup
If Sniper Elite V2 randomly crashes upon launching the game, ensure or try the following:
- Update your nVidia / ATI graphics drivers. Check our Technical References page for proper and official download links.
- Turn off SLI / Crossfire then start the game. See if it stabilizes Sniper Elite V2 performance.
- Turn off your anti-virus software before launching the Sniper Elite V2, but make sure you turn it back on after playing. Make sure Windows Defender is also disabled.

hey i get the same thing on the last part of the mission to locate schwaiger’s office its the light graffics comming through the window if you look down you can get all the way to the office but the cut scene forces you to look at the window it blackscreen crashes the card would be nice if this was fixed there is no way around it with an ati card that i have found
Sniper Elite V2 has No Sound, Sound Error, Sound Problems and Sound Stuttering Fix
Possible Solution 1: First of all, make sure you have installed or updated DirectX.
Possible Solution 2: Reduce Sound Acceleration by following these steps: Click Start>Run>Type dxdiag>Press Enter> Select the sound tab and Reduce Sound Acceleration
Possible Solution 3: Update your Sound Card Driver.
Possible Solution 4: If you are experiencing no sound or sound stuttering, run the game with Stereo Sound.
Possible Solution 5: If you’re using Realtek audio drivers, updating to the latest available drivers usually solves the problems. In case you have Realtek sound card on board, you may experience disappearance of sound while playing the game. In that case try uninstalling the sound drivers and running the game on default sound drivers, see if you the sound comes back if it doesn’t try updating your sound card drivers. In case you are on Windows Vista you may want to change your audio channel to “Stereo”. In order to do that:
Go to Control Panel>Sound> in “Playback Options” tab, select the current device you use for your sound and select “Configure”. Now change your audio channel to “Stereo”.
Possible Solution 6: You can run Sniper Elite V2 in 44k Stereo settings. For Change Settings (In Realtek) Go to Sound Manager>Properties>Advanced Settings here you can change the settings.
Black Screen Fix
Change your screen resolution to 1024*768 and see if the black screen goes away. Furthermore, try lowering some of the graphics settings in the game.

Hey Guys for the Sniper Elite Version 2/v2 or Sniper Elite Ghost warrior no sound issue. Please download and install Max Payne 2 and inshallah the sound issue will be fixed. Sounds Funny though it worked for me, I tried every possible solution that was available on the internet. But the sounds automatically started working after i installed max payne 2.
Please try it and let me know if it works.
FIXED SOUND PROBLEM: intro sound, no in-game sound
SYSTEM: windows 7
solution:
1. download and run directxwebsetup.exe
2. it should give an error at the end of the installation process
3. go look in C:\WINDOWS
4. search for a notepad file with directx in the name
5. open the file and go to the bottom, see what file gave the error when running the directxwebsetup.exe
6. go to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 and delete (or cut – paste somewhere else) the file that gave the error
7. Re-run the directxwebsetup.exe and enjoy
