Possible solutions for PS Vita Crashes, Lagging, Errors, Freezing, Unresponsive touchscreen, PS button not working, Stuck at setup, No sound
Problem #1 PS Vita Randomly crashes during the game
Make sure you have the latest PS Vita firmware update installed. The PS Vita 1.51 firmware comes just over a week after the device was introduced in Japan and fixes an issue that affects some crash and loading problems. To get the latest firmware, you have 3 ways:
- Download through your PC
- Download via PS3
- Download directly to PS Vita
Problem #2 PS Vita crashes upon turning on, Lagging, Unresponsive touchscreen
Do a device hard reset by holding the power button for 20 secs, then start up PS Vita. This can normally solve unresponsive touchscreen issues and some lag problems which are mainly possibly due to memory leaks, both onboard and on the external card.
Problem #3 PS Vita won’t turn on
If a hard reset doesn’t work, or if the PS Vita will not turn on or off, take out the batteries and PS Vita memory card, wait for 20-30 seconds then put them back in. Then turn on the PS Vita.
Problem #5 PS Vita has no sound / audio
No solution yet. Check back soon or participate in the comments section below to find possible fixes.
Problem #6 PS Vita error when installing / setting up
Best possible solution at the moment is by keeping your firmware up to date. Otherwise, no other concrete fixes yet. We’ll post as soon as we get more info.
Problem #X Yours!
