Problem #1 Assassins Creed Revelations (ACR) PC Crash Fix – Crash to Desktop upon Launch / Startup
If you’re game randomly crashes upon launching the game, ensure or try the following:

- Update your nVidia / ATI graphics drivers. Check our Technical References page for download links.
- Turn off SLI / Crossfire
- Turn off your anti-virus software before launching the game, but make sure you turn it back on after playing.
- Try using only one GPU first (turn the other one off via your graphics control panel)
- Try running the game in Windowed Mode (usually works for low-end PCs)
- Disable anti-aliasing and filtering
- Disable V-sync
- Disable background apps, and turn off your anti-virus software
- Run through our list of general fixes, which will most likely resolve your problems
Problem #2 Assassins Creed Revelations (ACR) PC Error Fix – Ubisoft Game Launcher Error Code 2 and Error Code 3
Simply reinstall the Ubisoft Game Launcher using the corresponding exe file in SteamsteamappscommonAssassins Creed RevelationsSupportBaseGameUpdate.
Problem #3 Assassins Creed Revelations (ACR) PC Crash Fix – For Quad Core PCs
If you’re on Quad Core, try this fix to address any crash issues:
- Start the game
- Alt+Tab Out of the game
- Open Task Manager
- Right click on Assassins Creed Revelations (ACR) PC.exe
- Set Affinity
- Select core 0 and 1 only. You need to run the game on two CPU’s basically, so to avoid the crash to desktop.
Problem #4 Assassins Creed Revelations (ACR) PC Install Error: “Assassins Creed Revelations (ACR) PC Install Fails, Cannot Install”
This is a Microsoft C++ bug so the quick fix is to uninstall your C++ files. If you see 2 instances of Microsoft C++, uninstall both of them; and don’t worry, they are easy to reinstall. There are also a couple workarounds online if you don’t want to uninstall them.

Thats either your video card driver, or your Graphics card is faulty and overheating. I had the same problem and couldn’t figure it out for years. Best solution is to get your card replaced.
Can’t launch multiplayer. Ubisoft Game Launcher says a game is already started so it cannot launch another one!

The game causes an entire system crash, where the image freezes and the audio loops. I’m forced to reset my system. I have the latest drivers, hardware is much higher than recommended.
I have the same damn problem as y2kkmac. Game works fine: its single component. But multiplayer always causes system freezes after 15-60 minutes of playing.
With all new drivers, no lags in-game, etc I can’t understand what the problem is.
What I’ve done:
- Updated video, audio, direct, motherboard, anti-virus drivers (100% sure everywhere latest version), also have tried few old video drivers
– Updated BIOS,
– Removed all temporary files
– Reseted all startup settings, disabled them all,
– Turned off the antivirals, firewall,
– Reduced all graphics quality settings, disabled the Voice Chat in-game,
– Altered the virtual memory
– Change the priority in the manager, ran from the admin, in compatibility mode for various tried.
– Installed another version of the game
– Fragmented HDD
– As I have 4 cores CPU (Core Quad Q6600) I’ve tried to redistribute the load on cores 0 and 1
– Opened all needed ports in router, deleted Hosts file
Nothing helps. Can You give me any advices please?
I have the exact same problem as y2kkmac and Dimon. SP works fine, even after 5+ hours of gaming, but MP crashes after 1h, tops. Like Dimon, I have a Q6600 as well. Maybe it’s a compatibility issue.
Neduil i’ve found the reason why system freezes but I don’t know what to do next.
Restart your system, while booting enter BIOS and turn off your audio card.
Under advanced choose onboard config or something like that and disable the sound card. Save and exit by pressing f10. Rerun the game and see for yourself. It won’t crash anymore.
Now lets google for new answers!

I have your problem, the issue is with punkbuster (the “anti cheat” program ACR uses).

This post on BFBC2 contains some fixes though if disabling your onboard sound card fixes things you have the main issue: Punkbuster and some realtek drivers don’t get along.
Punkbuster is basically a program that sits in your processes and stops 1/1000 people hacking the game. It’s obsolete, doesn’t work and causes many problems for people – causing strife and issues for paying and innocent customers.
I don’t know why companies still choose punkbuster.

Problem! My system requirements are almost optimal but game environments as soon i as i start it are transparent-like and desmond also trasparent – only his eyes are showing. I have installed the latest directx and my ati radeon latest drivers and still nothing! plz help!
on one of the problems one of the solutions is to run in windowed mode how do you get it to run in windowed mode i’ve looked at a couple of different things on google on how to do it but none of them have worked for me please help
I get regular small game freezes ( 7 seconds ) every 15 seconds. This kicks me out of every Mutliplayer match. I tried much ( selecting only 2 Cores, setting the compatibility mode to XP SP2, Vista SP1, both didnt work). I turned off my Firewall, the firewall of Comodo (antivir), forwarded the ports (got NAT open now) I have a 6MB internet connection (600 kbit/s download, 60 kbit/s upload). A GTX570, Q8300 with 4 x 2,5Ghz, 4GB DDR2 and everything runs good, except of these small freezes.
I thought maybe the game tries to connect to the ubi-server but gets blocked, and that stops the game for a short time, but since i let it connect with every possible program I run short on ideas to fix the problem

I have the same problem and I have found that going into task manager (ctrl+alt+del) then setting the game to only use 1 processor (I have dual core) fixes the high speed. To do this just right click on the game in task manager then select set affinity and finally uncheck all boxes except 1. The problem now is on vids the speech is a little buggy since it is meant for dual core. However just make sure subtitles are on and that will not be a big deal.
uhh dude I tried that , I have 8gb ram , 3.3 ghz core i5 processor 2500 , intel hd graphics , and the game still runs too fast.. please help

the game works fine with no problems but when i collected 5 animus fragments and got back to the animus island to play the first memory (which needs 5 fragments) & when i enter and after it asks if i am sure to enter , i press yes , instead of getting into it the game shuts down to windows ..

While unpacking assassin creed revelations, it stops after 95 %……..and i get error Isdone.dll written ”it is not found any file specified for IsArc Extract” in windows 7 64-bit
my problem is that for the MP i have to wait like 7 min to enter a game and it never has found one, so it gives me 2 options search again or main menu, PS i bought the game yesterday

Have you tried updating your audio drivers? Also, check both your PC and game sound settings.

So, I’m having a problem with my game, and I have almost tried everything to fix it, but so far, no good.
So I started to play the game without any pacthes, and amoung all the bug and stuffs like that, I could play the game, but I didn’t like it, so I instaled all patches to fix the bugging problem!
The problem is when I instaled thouse patches, the game went from acceptable to extremely slow, for reasons I don’t understand! I though with the patches I resolved the problem on the Island, but when I enter the first part to resolve de doubt in desmond minds, I’m trow out to the windows screen.
So did anyone had the same problem and ACTUALLY had it fixed?

i have a problem, i used to have a skidrow version be4 i baught the game, i removed it because it didnt work, and now i bought the game, it installs perfectly fine but theres no ubisoft launcher, i downloaded the one from the website still doesnt work, and its not a steam set up

The game works fine, but I am unable to access the multiplayer option. When I click on it, it starts loading and then comes to an error saying “Ubisoft sever is not available”. It has been this way for a couple of months. Please help!
Forget about it. Just solved my problem.
When I start ACR from the Ubisoft all I get is a flashing white box in the upper left portion of the screen. All I can do to exit is ctrl alt del and restart to clear it. Tried uninstalling game and nvidia drivers and same thing. ubisoft help no help.
